Well, I am on a roll. I am having so much fun making these mini collages in watch cases. This is the 2nd one I will be putting up for sale in Etsy, probably tonight or tomorrow. I have a 3rd that is almost complete. I received my Ebay auctions in the mail today. I will post pictures of the rhinestone jewels and watches I bought from a terrific seller. When I post the pictures I will post the seller as well. She was wonderful. Sending me twice as much rhinestone pieces then she advertised. What a nice surprise. Anyway, I can’t wait to dig into that stuff but for now here’s my latest colllage watch pendant necklace. The one close up shot the picture in the pendant looks grainy and that is not how it looks in person. For some reason these collage sheets are hard to photograph close up. Anyway………..

The word “adsum” in the collage means “I am here” in Latin. The lady in the picture is holding a cute little doggie. I love Ten Two Studios collage sheets! I need to purchase some more as I am beginning to run low. Take care friends and I’ll post my next necklace ASAP.
I just finished this necklace. I showed a picture of the pendant the other day but I’ve finally gotten around to finishing it. I’m going to be selling it in my Etsy shop. I hope to get several more pieces on Etsy in the next week. I still have several old watches to work with but I’m waiting on a couple of auctions that I got from Ebay with more old watches and vintage rhinestone jewelry. Anyway, here’s the finished necklace that I’ll put on Etsy tonight or tomorrow. I hope everyone is creating lots of art and having a wonderful week. I’m finally starting to feel better. I got a full night sleep last night for the first time in I can’t remember. I woke a few times but got right back to sleep which is a rarity for me as I usually wake up about 2 am and can’t get back to sleep. So spring has sprung and I want to work on my little flower beds soon and start working in my art journal again. Being tired, I haven’t been motivated to do much of anything. I’m hoping that I’m turning the corner and will be sleeping well from here out. Anyway, take care friends and “Create honey create”. ![]()

Hi friends….I haven’t been doing much of anything arts or crafts wise but I have been reading a lot. I’m almost finished my third book in 4 days. I’m reading The Heritage of Lancaster County Series by Beverly Lewis. The books are a wonderful easy read and give you a glimpse into the world of the Amish. I only live about an hour from Lancaster County so it makes it more interesting. Great novels if you are looking for something light to read.

I made this pendant last week with another watch case. So much fun to make these little guys they are. A little tricky because of the size but fun none the less. It just needs a chain and it’s good to go. I just won a bunch of old watches and vintage rhinestone jewelry pieces on Ebay and am looking forward to using them when I get them. When I am finished with this pendant I will be listing it on Etsy. The only difference between this one and the first one I made is I used Glossy Accents or whatever it’s called on the picture and adhered some of the beads in the resin as well while leaving some of the beads loose.

Ok, I took the watch pendant off the cord I originally put it on the other day and attached it to a vintage gold tone linked chain. I also added more charms to the bottom of the watch. The charms are old earrings. I just wanted to share the new pictures of it. It is gold and silver tone mixed components but I like it mixed. I got the idea from an article in Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine. There’s an article by Deryn Mentock. Her blog is in my blog roll under Something Sublime. Check out her fab jewelry and mixed media art. I haven’t been this excited about making something in a long time. I can’t wait to make more with the bunch of old watches I have gathered.

I’m so excited to share these pictures with you. I made this pendant today. It is an old, gutted, watch case that I put a vintage clip art pic, some text and some beads in. I turned a vintage earring into a charm and hung from the bottom, hung it on a cord and now I have a new necklace. I would like to take it further and make a better necklace to hang it from but I wanted to wear it right away so here it is. Sorry the pics aren’t better.
I still haven’t gotten down to my craft area but I did manage to make a creative dinner tonight with recipes thanks to the The Food Network. I love Everyday Italian, Tyler’s Ultimate and many of the other shows and this is the first time I tried a few recipes. I’m happy to say that no one got sick and my family enjoyed the vittles. I made Steak Florentine by Giada and Crunchy Rosemary Potatoes by Tyler. The picture is from The FoodNetwork website. Very yummy!

Hi everybody! I’m sorry I’ve been M.I.A. for almost 2 weeks. I finally got to a flea market on Tuesday and got some junk jewelry. Yeah! I also picked up a vintage dictionary. It’s perfect. Over 50 years old and falling apart and only 25 cents.
I bought a pair of lamp work earrings and a domino pin from two local crafters. I also got myself a new purse for only $10. Here are some pictures of the treasures I found. I will hopefully be back in a few days with something creative to share with all of you.

I’m back with some journal pages to share. It felt so good today to do these pages. It’s been weeks since I’ve done anything creative. Well, if you count the disaster with soldering the Lucy slides it’s been a few days but that was so sad and disappointing I do not want to talk about it right now.
I will share on that when I get the proper materials to work with.
Onto the journal pages. I used Utee for the first time and I really like it. You can’t really see the Utee in the left corner, maybe if you zoom in you can see it. I layered it 3 times and then cracked it which was a bit difficult as I used my heat gun and Utee went flying everywhere. As a matter of fact I think I might have some in my bra. *ITCH

Here’s a close up of some embossing with the utee. I also found some text in a thrift store book that I added regarding the author’s mother’s work being her family. I thought it fit as my Mom was a homemaker and made things so special. I embossed a one of my favorite stamps, the lady eyes in the right corner.
This close up is of me and my sister Carol. I’m on the left. I look at these pictures and laugh at the clothes. Not the dress as I Loved that party dress. It had a peachy skirt and the top of it if memory serves was lacey. But I do laugh at the polyester pants and tops on the other page. Carol and I are two years apart and my mother loved to dress us alike as most moms did back in the day.
I’ll share more as I create. I hope everyone is having a creative and artful Monday. I big thanks to everyone who sent me well wishes and prayed for me while I was sick. I’m so glad that is over with! Until next time…….. *kiss kiss *hug hug
I hope all of you behaved and didn’t eat too much chocolate. Surprisingly, I have been doing pretty good with the candy. I just couldn’t pass up sharing this oldy but goody with all of you. Here’s to you both Lucy and Ethel!
I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter. Mine was nice and yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside. Today we’re blessed with another beautiful weather day. Maybe I’ll have something creative to share with my blog friends in the next day or two.
I hope you all have a wonderful, blessed Easter. Remember that God loved us so much that he sacrificed his Son Jesus so that we can live with him forever. Below is an awesome video but be warned that there are some graphic scenes from The Passion of the Christ film.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:17-18
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
